Gary Hall
Gary has been a Councillor in Risborough for 29 years, He recently stepped back from an account manager role within an international blue chip company in favour of starting his own local business. As a lifelong resident of Risborough Gary is very grateful to have been brought up in such a great community, He had the benefit of going to excellent schools in the area and of living in decent quality home. Gary feel strongly that all our residents should have at least the same opportunities that he had, it is therefore essential that we retain the strong sense of community that has always made Risborough so special.

Matthew Walsh
I have been involved in Risborough and Longwick for some years both as a Town Councillor, Chairman of the Princes Centre and for the last five years as your Mayor and Chairman of the Town Council. In that time, I have led the redevelopment of the Community Centre, promoted the High Street by encouraging trade and new additions such as The Manor, and been the instigator and founder of the Risborough Basket. I have listened to the needs of residents and worked to deliver a vibrant, successful and caring town to be proud of. As current Mayor, I want to represent the best interests of our residents within the Buckinghamshire Council, and ensure a good deal for Princes Risborough and Longwick

Your Priorities are our Priorities
We will make it our priority is to protect our cherished countryside and daily village life. That’s why we’re committed to:
Championing our environment
We care about our countryside, wildlife and preserving our villages. We will ensure the new council has ambitious biodiversity and carbon reduction targets. With HS2 and other developments, our countryside simply cannot sustain vast scale infrastructure programmes.
Sustainable development
Local Plans are already ambitious. But because of pressure on natural resources, public services and local infrastructure, we refuse to take more than our fair share. We will push back on accelerated growth that is not included in our local plans.
Improving our roads
An additional £5 million has been allocated by the Conservative-led council to sort out potholes across the county. Rural roads have taken a beating this winter and we’ll petition directly on your behalf to ensure extra funding is spent here.
Keeping Risborough Thriving
We will champion our local economy as we emerge from the lockdown restrictions, including keeping
Risborough High Street as a thriving retail centre. We also look forward to working with the local community and the Town Council to deliver the exciting plans for Risborough Ward
Giving Residents a Voice
We all live locally and have strong roots in the area and we commit to listening to your views and concerns. All three of us are experienced campaigners and, together with local MPs and community organisations, we will ensure your voice is heard.
